Open Water Scuba Diver

Just imagine where you will go! Begin your underwater explorations by enrolling in a NAUI Scuba Diver class. This is our entry-level certification course where you will learn the fundamental knowledge and skills to safely dive in open water.

Earning your NAUI Scuba Diver Certification card is an accomplishment for which you will rightfully feel proud and you will be ready to begin a lifetime of underwater adventures and discovering.

During your NAUI Scuba Diver class, your you will learn about modern dive equipment, diving sciences, responsible diving practices and the environment. Diving skills will be taught and practiced first in the comfort and convenience of a confined water environment and finally during your open water training dives with your NAUI Instructor.

NAUI Open Water Certification is internationally accepted and is the first course in sport diving. Upon completion you will be certified to dive in open water to a depth of 60 feet. Once certified you are certified for life.

Included in the course fee: Dive Text, dive log, dive tables, and certificate. NAUI certification fee and issuance of certification card. Access to online classroom learning tutorial. Instructor for all pool session who is available for questions and tutoring of online classroom material. Use of Randy’s Dive Shop tanks, regulator, buoyancy compensator, weights and weight belt for all the pool session and the open water dive weekend.

Not included in the course fee: Scuba appropriate mask, fins, snorkel and wet suit boots by the third pool session (dive shop has some loaners for the first two sessions). Snorkeling equipment needs to fit properly. Please come to the dive shop so we may fit you with the proper equipment. We have student packages for the above equipment, please call the shop for pricing. The cost of the open water weekend i.e. admission to quarry, over night stay, transportation, food etc.. The student is responsible for picking up and returning the gear to the dive shop (clean please) for the open water weekend.

The open water weekend is determined by the instructor and will be discussed in class.
